The firm seeks properties that can rapidly be transformed into best-in-category performers through strategic investments, top-flight management and unparalleled design and creative.

Waldorf Astoria Chicago

Known world-wide as Chicago’s preeminent hotel, the 189-room Waldorf Astoria Chicago became a part of Geller Capital’s portfolio in July of 2015. The new owners immediately undertook a rigorous design effort to improve room configurations in some parts of the property, transform public spaces and introduce a new food and restaurant culture on par with the dynamic Chicago restaurant scene.

Phased construction began in mid 2016 and will be completed in 2017. The updated hotel will benefit from the addition of more than 20 guest rooms, a new restaurant concept created by Chef Michael Mina and elegant public spaces befitting the Waldorf Astoria brand.

Chicago Conrad Hilton

In May 2015 Geller Capital announced plans to convert a Magnificent Mile office building into a 20-story, 285 room Conrad Hilton hotel. Laurence Geller commissioned Pierre-Yves Rochon to design the impeccably modern hotel overlooking Chicago’s magnificent mile.

The ambitious and thrilling addition to the city’s hotel landscape includes expansive suites, state-of-the art meetings rooms and a breathtaking rooftop bar opened in late 2016 to much acclaim.

Washington Marriott Georgetown

The 470 room Washington Marriott Georgetown was the third hotel property acquired by Geller Capital and the acquisition closed in September of 2015 with Wanxiang America Real Estate Group (WAREG) a financial partner.

The hotel was purchased with the intention to reposition and renovate the iconic property located between Georgetown and Dupont Circle in the heart of D.C. A complete updating of the entire “hotel experience” was undertaken immediately after purchase and finished ahead of schedule in early 2017. Every inch of hotel was addressed including a new lobby layout, new club and workout rooms and completely redesigned guestrooms with new, contemporary bathrooms.
